Sunderland University and Penultimate work day!

Got a letter yesterday from Sunderland saying I'd been accepted onto the MA Media & Cultural Studies and MA Film & Cultural Studies courses.

Now, I know I'm fantastic and I know I'm a genius, but three masters courses at once? There are limits to what even The Great Clare can do. Called them today to politely decline them. Should've probably asked if I was still on the Journo course!

Today is my penultimate day at work. Yes, I have only 12 hours left at Directory Enquiries, which is nice.

Also: Never Mind The Buzzcocks rocks my world. I salute thee Lamarr, I salute thee Bailey and I salute thee Jupitus, for you bring joy, laughter, meaning and purpose into my life. Although stop having members of Atomic bloody Kitten on as guests, please. Robbie 'does my arse look familiar in this' Williams got called the 'pop equivalent of loft lagging'. Great news about Sunderland! But it *would* be nice if they'd just come out and say you've been accepted to the MA journalism program. When would you start?? What would you focus on? Did I tell you I have a BA in journalism? It's what's kept me off the unemployment rolls most of my adult life :-)

You told me the other day, when we were talking about stenographers and shorthand- it's clearly a cool thing to have.

They have told me I have the Journalism place, that I have funding. However, I don't know exactly when I start (although I head up on teh 2nd Oct) and I don't know when/how to enrol yet. Grr. Might ring them tomorrow or something.

For now I just care that tomorrow is my LAST DAY at work! *does complex dance to The Song Remains The Same*

Fantastic about tomorrow being your last day. So you might actually start there in a week or two?? Man, when I went to grad school up here in Wisconsin I knew about my financial aid MONTHS before I started school -- that's part of why I came here -- the money I thought I was getting in Pennsylvania was a "clerical error" and so I had to go to my fallback school...but it worked out fine :-)
