I'm back again! Just to tell you all briefly that I posted the second of a hugely long list of HP DDDverse ficlets at the The Pumpkin Cafe so if you wanna mosey on over and read it, it's called Spring is in the Air. It's not great art, nor is it hugely important in the grand scheme of the Diamond's life. But I think it's funny. And if I'm honest, I just wanted to post something. Anything.

Smooches to you all, especially [livejournal.com profile] gryffinseye who I believe has something coming up soon... and to [livejournal.com profile] angiej who always makes me think and to [livejournal.com profile] marquiserachel whose notes rock my world- she printed the story out and made notes! I love her so, even if it meant the Pizza Hut girl didn't know where to put my pizza.......

Oh, also: how many of you know what a catafalque is? I mean, if I use that word in a story, am I gonna have a whole lot of confused readers?

EDIT: I forgot [livejournal.com profile] pilar55us's birthday! I know I'm late but I hope you had a great day!

Very confused. But now curious. :-) Footnotes?

That's what I was thinking. A catafalque is the thing a coffin rests on when someone is lying in state, but it's the only word I could find for my purposes. I guess I have to find something else or just have a footnote. Bugger.

Catafalque is exactly the right word. John F. Kennedy's coffin lay in state on a catafalque in the U.S. Capitol. That's how I got to learn that word when I was young. It's okay to challenge your readers; let them learn how to use a dictionary!! Oi, buzz me on Y!M sometime, more plot points to discuss, like what Gran might have in her garden :-)
