My mum is on a superspree to make us 'de-junk' our house. Yes, it's cluttered and that, but seeing as half of it's hers I don't see why we have to sort it out all the time. I've got rid of some videos (Her: "If you're collecting DVDs now, why don't you get rid of all your videos?" Someone explain to her, please.) and a whole bunch of books. I'll get rid of more too.... and all her stuff will in all likelihood stay where it is- scattered around her house. And it's never her fault. The papers piled here and there, well they must be my dad's... We get spyware on our computer, she blames Mikey. Lots of random stuff, must be mine... etc etc etc. Now, I know I have a lot of stuff, but it's all videos and CDs and things I really really love. I understand where she's getting at with things I've not touched for years, which is why I've got rid of stuff without complaint. But it would be nice to see her stuff go as well.

So in honour of the micro-rant,I present you with a meme borrowed from [livejournal.com profile] lissinthecity:

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:

(h) A restrictive covenant enforceable by another neighbour, Fred, which prevents the land from being used for business purposes.

From: Textbook on Land Law, 9th Ed., Judith-Anne MacKenzie and Mary Phillips. Something dumped in our spare room (where this computer is) by my darling mama.

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?

Nothing.

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?

A bit of The Canterville Ghost on the mediocrity that is the Hallmark Channel.

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is:

About half two.

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?

14:21. Interesting question.

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

Phil Lynott singing to me about being a Rocker. And my brother downstairs.

7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?

Taking stuff from the garage to my dad's car to take to the tip. I wasn't wearing anything on my feet and got told off. I like to think of myself as like the Barefoot Contessa.

8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?

Trying (and failing) to find filming locations for The Canterville Ghost (1996) for my dad, who swore it was Knebworth House, which is near us.

9: What are you wearing?

A pair of Adidas tracksuit bottoms (dark blue stripes, once briefly belonged to my brother), a Bugs Bunny New York Yankees t-shirt and my favourite purple Adidas sweatshirt.

10: Did you dream last night?

I don't think so. Didn't sleep well really.

11: When did you last laugh?

About five minutes ago listening to my dad snarking about my mum.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?

*reaches for tin opener for Can of Worms* Right... big poster of John Lennon during the Imagine sessions in 1971. A big poster of Ever After brought all the way from California. Then the following people in smaller famous rock pics culled from Q mag's 100 Greatest Rock Photos and now assembled into a handy collage: David Bowie, Rolling Stones (Sticky Fingers era), The Stone Roses, Philip Lynott (!), Jeff Buckley, Gene Vincent, Adam Ant, Queen, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Janis Joplin, Marc 'Glitter Fool' Bolan, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon (1980, Double Fantasy studio, with Sean), Aretha Franklin, Pete Townshend, Bob Dylan again, The Beatles (Candlestick Park), Bob Marley and the Wailers, Madonna (1998 Earth Mother), Iggy Pop (70s, wearing only y-fronts), Keef Richards (hanging in S. of France era), Tina Turner (in shimmying, Ike era) and finally that famous picture of the Clash smashing the guitar. Just remember, you did ask.

13: Seen anything weird lately?

Yes, we have a fully functioning mirror in our house.

14: What is the last film you saw?

On video? That would be Master and Commander: Far Side of the World, which didn't suck considering who was the lead. My dad liked it a lot. At the flicks? I can't remember. Must have been RotK.

15: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?

A Gibson Les Paul Jimmy Page limited edition. That's a guitar, btw.

16: Tell me something about you that I don't know:

I've been to an Ant And Dec concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I don't like to talk about it.

17: Do you like to dance?

*smirks* You might say.

18: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?

I think he is, in the words of Derek Trotter, a total twonk.

19: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?

Ava.

20: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?

Flynn.

21: Would you ever consider living abroad?
I already have. It was lots of fun and I'd do it again, but not in Irvine.

LET'S GET REAAAAAAADY TO RHUUUMBLE!

It was exactly like you imagine it, although as a very small defence, it was as 'Ant and Dec' and not as 'PJ and Duncan'. I'm not sure how that's a defence, but I'm sure it is.

I do believe it is not actually a defence. But at least you admit it, I know plenty of closet Ant and Dec fans.... that's much worse!

I didn't say I was a fan, I said I had attended a concert.
