Pointless OC Post

apollaOK, I finally caved and downloaded the episode of The O.C. that I missed (for the interested: episode 6, The Girlfriend). And I am SORRY, but WHAT THE HOLY FUCK is Alan DALE doing there?
Alan 'Jim Robinson off Neighbours' Dale is Kirsten's dad in THE OC? What mad parallel universe did I trip into? It's like a weirder version of Goodnight Sweetheart! I mean, I saw that dude DIE in Neighbours. Hell, I mourned him at the time. I was upset when Jim died and now he's turned up as a rich Californian in The OC!
Or to emphasise the utter insanity of it: Jason Donovan and Stefan Dennis' screen dad is now in The OC. Just think about that.

God, he's playing a total wanker as well! What happened to benevolent patriarch Jim? The world is weird AND unfair!
PS. After talking to my dad, I have decided to forgive Errol Flynn (mostly). My dad's suggestion of "oh, well that means we can get rid of all those videos then?" was the clincher. He is a wily, wily man.
