I'm on the BBC!!!
Saturday, 29 November 2003 03:14OK, perhaps I should be more accurate...
Some time ago (October) the BBC news website reported that a new one-off Crimbo special of one of my most favourite telly programmes of all time Porridge had been filmed. Ronnie Barker is one of the most funny men in the history of the universe and retired from the screen some years ago- he is, as they say, getting on in years.
Anyway, I was so hopping excited that I posted a little comment about it. I then promptly forgot. But tonight I was checking the news and found a piece about how Ronnie Barker had recorded some messages on tape or something for inmates at Pentonville Prison in character as Fletch (Porridge was set in a prison, from the phrase 'doing porridge' ie 'doing bird/stir/time') and I randomly clicked on the link to the old report. AND MY COMMENT IS THERE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE!
Porridge star back for TV special
My comment is by 'Clare, England' and is part of the way down. Check me out, I'm on the BBC! (after a fashion)
