Heads will roll.............
Wednesday, 26 November 2003 20:28Well, I have finally arrived in the world of Harry Potter fanfiction.
Yes! Yours truly, the Claremonster herself was plagiarised on FF.net. It's practically cliche at this point, I swear. Did the person (hereafter known as Silly Tart) do anything to said story (Got Milk fyi)? No. Silly Tart didn't even give it a new summary. In fact, Silly Tart didn't even CAPITALISE the fucking title. IN FACT she even left out the fucking QUESTION MARK in the title, which is the whole point of calling it Got Milk? cos it's taking the mick out of the American milk adverts!
The fact that by the time I got out of three hours of Shorthand and another two hours of Journo Law (which hardly put me in a skipping-through-fields-to-classical-music mood) the story was taken down matters not to moi. It matters that someone put it on there in the first place. And not only mine, but one of my friends too! And, lo and behold, the other HP fic on there belonged to someone else I recognised! *hugs both* Is there like a book out there someone called 'The Idiot's Guide to Plagiarism' that they all read and they all follow the same rules?
Suffice to say I have emailed the Silly Tart and am waiting for a reply with baited breath.
Will be back later to speak on the following: Oliver Cromwell, the State Opening of Parliament and other assorted, riveting things!
EDITED TO ANGRILY ADD: I just got this 'Mail Delivery Notification: Your mail to the following recipients could not be delivered because

Oh well. It's not the only email address I have. This has made me really mad. She clearly got it when I left a relatively polite review for the story she stole that was still up and informed her she could expect an email from me very soon. So she's a coward and a plagiarist? I am not impressed. Not remotely even close to being impressed.

Date: 2003-11-28 15:25 (UTC)Thanks. I've actually gone against all expectations of me (I like being contrary) and was almost nice in my email. Really fucked off but nice.
