apollaHey there! Got home to the south just fine- ended up sat next to a girl from the other Journalism class who's going home for reading week.
- I have my guitar. It is yet shinier and golder than the picture showed. It is in tune. It is fabulous. I cannot say much more than that.
- I have the various things that turned up at my house from eBay and such.
- Last night when I got home I was half talking to my dad, 1/4 thinking what to have for dinner and 1/4 reading the Mirror. Now, I rarely read the entertainment section in the middle that they have on a Friday, cos there's rarely anything good in it. Anyway, I briefly look down at the page and see that David Bowie's bassist has written her own tour diary. Read a few bits, nothing much, cos only 1/4 of my attention is on the paper. Continue turning pages, paying even less attention. Look down once. Look down twice. Realise that there's a big interview called 'Stairlift to Heaven' with some geezer called Robert Plant. Still not paying enough attention for any of this to register in my brain. Stop thinking about food and everything else and suddenlly realise that one of my favourite people in the world is staring up at me from a page I wouldn't normally even go to in the paper. Read interview. Laugh. Realise am now ignoring both my dad and hunger pangs. Don't care until I get to the end of the article. Then turn back cos I just realised there's a big thing with David Bowie's bassist's tour diary.
I did eat eventually, but I'm still not sure what my dad was saying.
- Am off to see The Artist Formerly Known as Zimmerman in only a scant few hours.
