Some hopeful news.

Gerry Adams just said this on the television:

"Sinn Fein wants to see the guns taken out of Irish society."

I hope to God he means what he says. I hope to God he works at what he says and I hope to God the rest of Sinn Fein and the IRA finally agree.

I'm tired of seeing Ireland, any part of it, torn apart by violence, hatred and death.

That's a wonderful announcement, Clare. Somehow though, methinks that will be like trying to disband the NRA.

All we can do is sit by and watch.
