Miscellania. I like that word.

A few thoughts...........................

1. 1980s power ballads suck. Someone find me the exception to the rule and I'll show you someone who's tone deaf, a Phil Collins fan or both. Of course, I don't think any of those people read my Live Journal.......

1b. Je Suis Un Rock Star by Bill Wyman is truly a terrible song, but amusing for it. A line I particularly like: "They'll think I'm your dad, and you're my daughter" especially cos daughter is used to rhyme with water. Of course, in the case of Mandy Smith, 'they'll think I'm your grandad..' cheap joke I know, but I don't care. Truly, Wyman is the greatest unsung poet of our age...

2. I've come to realise how much of the bloody HP DDD sequel is written down but I've just not bothered typing it onto the computer. I just can't be arsed, man.

3. Just had the rankest so-called Italian style pizza with horrid proscuitto which made me want to vomit. Feel sick now.

4. Looks like I might be off to the University of Sunderland to do an MA Journalism after all. All depends on whether they'll fund me or not. Have a campus tour booked for the 17th September.

5. Plagiarism sucks. I don't really care much if we write in a fandom where originality is at a premium- it isn't outlawed. I don't care if we write with someone else's characters in someone else's world- they're still our ideas and our words and this is my warning: You steal from me and I will show no mercy. I am not naturally dignified and I have no sense of being over the top or overreacting. You steal from my pals and you'll get much the same from me unless they instruct me otherwise. A vague disclaimer is nobody's friend. That's a Willow-ism.

I'm sure there was something else, but I can't remember, and as it was probably about Led Zeppelin knowing me, I'll just leave it until next time.

Wyman does look like he's been beaten repeatedly with the ugly stick... I'm sure Mick liked that when Bill was still with the Stones- makes him look better!

HP DDD II is all written down on bits of paper, btw. Sheafs of the stuff. LITTB 2 is excellent, so I don't think you need to worry unduly.

LITTB02 is in the hopper at FA now. So I guess I'll just be waiting (hums Stairway). Liss questioned them starting school at 4 years old but you didn't remark about it so I figured it was okay; I'd read on HPFGU-OTChatter that 4 is the usual school-starting-age in Britain. Or am I wrong there?? AAARGH. Well I can fix it later if I have to.

When it was an issue for me I believe we started in the term in which we'd turn five or something. Basically, four isn't wrong, but I think it also depensd on where in teh country you are, if there's nursery provision, blah blah blah.... You're not wrong though.
