I'm trying to write one side of A4 to Working Title films as part of my application for their training scheme. Three people will be chosen, I imagine millions will be applying. Millions of people with more experience than me (I have none in the film industry. I do however believe I've probably seen more Errol Flynn films than anyone else applying).
So this begs the question: How do you explain how much you love something, why you love it and why this would make you perfect to continue the tradition of great British flicks? I could be fucking fantastic at making films but how do I persuade Working Title of this?
I'm so tired of being in limbo like this. I want to close my eyes and fast-forward fifty years to retirement. Of course, the government has been so crap with pensions that I won't have a pension to retire to and so will have to keep working until the day I drop dead. Great.
Also, Revolved is fucking fabulous. I'm not a huge fan of mash-ups although I loved some of the ones on DavidBowie.net during their mash-up competition. I can't wait till George's birthday for the rest of them- they look like they'll be fabulous. I like Rush to Love, cos although I hate Chris Martin's whiny schoolboy voice, the riff to 'God Put A Smile On Your Face' is pretty great.
Ah well, off to try and persuade WT that I'm perfect. Fuck. I mean, if I couldn't persuade Warner Music that I was perfect for their grad scheme, what chance do I have?
