apolla: (Rock Chick)

Got back from Dublin a couple of hours ago. Everything I said on my last post was essentially bollocks. Had fucking awesome time in one of the greatest places, I'm convinced, in the world. Highlights included, for me, seeing a bunch of middle-aged Derry women singing along to the trad. Irish stuff, Michael Collins' uniform, the Guinness Storehouse and my mam buying me a veritable library of Thin Lizzy CDs. Also seem to have lost the ability to pronounce the letter 'h' after only three days with Dubliners. Will post more when I don't feel like my head's going to fall off.

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

Exhausted. Got woken up by recruitment agency telling me they found me a job. Cos I was asleep, I accepted, not remembering that it's nearly impossible to get a bus to and from this part of town to the part of the next town where the job (admin for a water company) is. My mum and dad have said they'll get me there in the morning (start at eight.) but I'll have to get myself back. This means basically, thanks to the shitey public transport (and lack thereof) will take about an hour to do what should be ten minutes every four pm. Great. I bet it sucks. If it does, I can always have a word with the agency and ask for something else. In the meantime, at least I don't have to go back to the Church of Depression known as the Jobcentre.

Oh, and I'll get 6.50 an hour. Yippee.
