Hey there! Because I just watched two Indiana Jones movies in a row, it's a lot later than I thought, so I shall be brief.

OK, first up: I really don't see what all the fuss about Dan Radcliffe is. Seriously, I don't get it!

Secondly, for those of you remotely interested, the first part of that new BBC thing about Charles II was on tonight. I had no idea that Charles II was so much like Jimmy Page- he had long straggly black hair, a pretty face marred by a scowl and spent most of the first hour in bed with random chicks.

Thirdly: I played Stairway to Heaven all the way through on my new gold guitar. Totally fucked up the solo and it ended up sounding like nothing ever to come out of Jimmy Page's amplifiers, but to the end I did get. My brother got his sticky little mitts on my new baby today without asking... but made up for it by playing Voodoo Chile for moi.

Fourthly: Indiana Jones rocks, although this is hardly news. Watched Raiders and some of Temple of Doom yesterday before Dylan then the rest of Temple and The Last Crusade today as well as some of the bonus materials stuff. V. v. cool although I go with consensus on the temple of doom being less good than the other two- by a long way. To be honest, and apologies to Mrs Spielberg, but Kate Capshaw is so fucking annoying in it!

Fifthly: Enid Blyton had some seriously deranged ideas about what girls can and can't, should and should not do. If I read once more that Dinah and Lucy-Ann have to stay behind while stupid old Jack and Philip twat about on a mountain/in a castle/in a valley/ on an island I will not be best pleased.

Sixthly: I just came up with a plot bunny that involves marrying the Mummy Returns's Alex O'Connell to an as yet unknown child of Indiana Jones. Am I completely insane? Answers to the usual address.

Seventhly: Am not returning to the north east until Thursday because it's reading week anyway and because I'd really like to hang around a place where people do my washing up for me and I can just sit and do nothing for awhile. Shame the family computer is totally overrun with spyware and popups that I have no idea how to get rid of.

Eighthly: Nothing- I just wanted to say 'eighthly' :D
