Bob Who Is Dylan
Sunday, 16 November 2003 01:05OK. *breathes in and breathes out*
Firstly, people are annoying bastards. Secondly, Bob Dylan is a very cool man.
I don't have much to say right now because the 100 Greatest Popular Culture Icons is on VH1 and I have a poll to rip apart.
Will say this: Dylan was in fine voice, one of his guitarists- a bloke called Larry Campbell was quite brilliant and they played the songs I most wanted, namely 'Things Have Changed' and 'Mr Tambourine Man'. Very countrified, but I found that for once this was not necessarily a bad thing.
Oh, and during the first song (A strange version of Maggie's Farm) I snuck up from Row 17 to the front and ended up feet away from The Man Himself before being asked to produce my ticket. Feet away.
This concert did not change my life, but it did reassert what I have felt so strongly for, well ever, that Rock and Roll is the most important thing in my life and I want nothing more, not even movies, to be a rock star. I want so much to get up on that stage and sing.
Just a shame I'm fucking shit really, isn't it?
