A Quick Question For Computer Sorts

Hey there guys.

I have a problem. Sims 2 doesn't exactly play fast. In fact, it plays pretty slowly on my computer. Now, question for you:

I have two hard drives, C & D. The original Sims is on my D drive while I installed Sims 2 on the C drive, where most stuff goes anyway. Now, my question is, will Sims 2 run faster if I remove the original from the other drive?

I really don't understand computers. I can type, I can use programs, but I don't understand computers themselves. Help me so I can find a way to actually play Sims 2 rather than just sitting around waiting to play. *weeps*

PS. Family computer totally fucked. Told my mummy that it was way beyond my knowledge and way out of my scope and to please just call in professional help.

I don't know how much this will help you but I had the same problem when I first installed SIMS 2. It ran so slowly that it was painful to play. I found that if I run a defrag before I play that it runs much, much faster. You might want to give that a try. Hope it helps.
