A HUGE thanks to everyone who already sent me their questionnaire answers. If you want to do it, please do so. If you don't know what I'm talking about, click here

And now, last seen with [livejournal.com profile] augusam:

1) Your HP nickname: Apolla

2) Do you write fanfiction: Of varying quality and length, but yes.

3) Draw fanart: Nope. At school I never mastered drawing even squiggly lines, let alone the good stuff. And I STILL go over the lines in colouring books. It's a concentration thing, I'm telling you. I wish I could do the whole fanart thing because I have such a vivid picture of some of my scenes in my head.

4) Review much: Actually, considering the amount I snark about the reviews I receive, I'm not much with the giving. I find that I prefer IMing the authors I like (and am friends with anyway) to say I like it. And you know, the people who I have constructive things to say to don't want to hear it. I can live without that stress thanks.

5) Read too many fics: Hardly at all, to be honest. I just got so tired of the mire of crap.

6) Favorite house: Not because they're cool or brave... they're just so FOOLHARDY and DO NOW THINK LATER that I love them.

7) Favorite Gryffindor student: Ever? Sirius Black. Current? Dirk Grumbleweed.

8) Favorite Slytherin student: Possibly Blaise Zabini. This is for two reasons: I like the gender question and I know how to spell both names.

9) Favorite Ravenclaw student: Luna. I wasn't sure about her at all at first, but she grew on me.

10) Favorite Hufflepuff student: Cedric Diggory. Darling, tragic Cedric.

11) Favorite teacher: McGonagall. Again because I can spell it, but also because I much prefer Lupin in his non-teacher self. I would like him to come back for DADA eventually though. WEREWOLF RIGHTS NOW!

12) Favorite overall character: Harry, possibly, being the HERO and everything (Yes, I was shocked to find it wasn't Ron too) but I do love Hermione and MWPP.

13) Favorite adult: Sirius. Darling, charming, flawed as hell Sirius.

14) Canon/fanon Draco: Paraverse Draco. I don't like Cassie's Draco so much if only because he's become such a fandom blight.

15) Canon/fanon Snape: Canon. I just... don't like Cuddly!Pantene!Snape.

16) Voldemort or Dumbledore: Dumbledore. Unless Voldemort likes sherbert lemons as well, in which case, Voldemort.

17) Cho, annoying or not: I really don't care enough about her. I think Harry was pretty uncaring about Sniffly!Cho, but she was also quite unsympathetic/misinformed about him.

Shipping:

18) Your OTP: Harry/Hermione, I guess. Also Lila/Mitch, Kit/Flynn and Ricky Haven/Alix Potter. If you know what I'm talking about on the last two, you're either me, Christina or you've been hacking into my conversations.

19) Other ships you sail: James/Lily. Ginny/Dirk Grumbleweed. Ron/Luna, if only because it's better than Lavender Brown.

20) Intruiging ships: Harry/Tonks, Lucius/Dudley.

21) Disliked ships: Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny most of all. I tell you what I don't like/really dislike: Sirius/Harry. Not for cross generational reasons necessarily... but I refuse to believe Sirius wouldn't have James issues about it.

22) Ships hated with a passion (erm... this is optional :X): Harry/Ginny, more than anything else. Partly because I've never seen a decent fic written about it (Getting pregnant in Sixth/Seventh Year is not romantic, my freaky darlings) and partly because the idea of ending up with your first crush (First Love is different but not necessarily less problematic) is horrendous.

23) Het, slash or femmeslash: Well, I like H/Hr, which until Nancy posts Harriet is pretty much het. I quite like slash pairings of both genders when they're in H/Hr stories, but I don't dig most slash pairings because of who is slashed rather than the slash itself.

24) H/Hr or R/Hr: For what? if for Luv, Twoo Luv, then H/Hr.

25) D/Hr or D/G: D/G, which I quite like when done well. They've both got darkness inside that needs company.

26) H/D or H/SS: H/D, I guess.

27) Older gen, younger gen or cross-gen: You know, I don't have a problem with Harry falling in love with someone thirty years his senior... the problem I have is if it's a teacher or other parental-type figure. So yes, Sirius, Snape and Remus are out. Sorry.

Fanfiction:

28) Canon or AU: At this point I'm just happy to see SPaG in place.

29) Fluff or angst: Both, but I find angst is much less likely to be written well.

30) Darkfic: I don't usually... simply because if I want to get down about something, there's stuff in RL for that. More than that... even in the darkest moments of HP there's been comedy or lightness as well. You need a balance, man.

31) OOC or IC: In Character. I'd rather you wrote an original character than BUTCHERED the old ones.

32) SuddenlyVeryPowerful!Harry: Sometimes... like everything, if it's done well, done thoughtfully, it can be great.

33) One-shot or chaptered: Both. If it's good, you tend not to notice the length so much.

34) Novel-length: For writing myself, definitely- I'm longwinded like that/

35) Gen, het or slash: Whatever, man.

36) Drabbles: It's very hard to get a point across in so few words, and all the ones I see people do have been great- especially when I put forward really stupid pairings like Lucius/Dudley and Narcissa/Parvati and they still do great things.

37) SuddenlyVerySexy!Draco: No.

38) Fanfiction Pet Peeves: Super!Ron, HERMIONE GOTT HOTT!, tweenie fic that's not been read through a second time, let alone betaed or thought through. Shit written just to get people to say "OMG IT'S FABULOUS!". I know I carp about not getting many reviews sometimes, but that's not why I write. Anything with canon words misspelled. I mean, Macgonnaghal, Paravarti, Blaizie Zambini, Dumbeldoor and all the other things that make me think that not only has the 'author' not bothered to put any effort it, but they haven't even read the fucking books upon which their shaky structure is precariously balanced. Mary fucking Sue. Anything that has an author's note that mentions 'sugar', 'caffeine' or 'I'll only post the next chapter if I get 230 reviews'. Hell, pretty much anything on FF.net I've not been recced. Anything that uses "I'm only 12/13/2!" as an excuse for being a shit writer.

39) Canon or Fanon: Canon.

40) Many ships in one fic: Yeah, why not. Not ones that interfere or contradict each other necessarily... but sometimes it works.

Books:

59) Cried for Cedric: Yes, if I were the sort to cry.

60)Cried for Sirius: Yes, even though I'm not the sort to cry.

61) Dark or Light Side: Light. They seem better dressed.

62) Did the explanation of the prophecy satisfy you: Guess so. It's what we were given.

63) Which character needs some more development: Lily Evans. Hermione Granger. ANY INFORMATION ABOUT HERMIONE OUTSIDE SCHOOL! MWPP, Draco, Narcissa.

Fanart:

64) Favorite artist(s): My love for Nancy is great and unbounded. She's come closest to my vision of them, I think. Plus: SHE ROCKS

65) Favorite drawing style: I don't see much fanart, but I love the way Nancy both draws and colours her stuff.

66) Love fanart of: Harry/Hermione, Trio, MWPP.

67) Fanart Pet Peeves: I only have one. Anime!HP. I get that people like anime and that... but why do people insist on drawing shit anime Harry? I just don't get it.

68) Stick art. Yes or no: Everything has a place.

69) Shiny: Shiny what?

70) Anime/Manga style: No. Honestly, no. It just doesn't fit right. Like having characters called Kymberlie or Krystalle Amba or Keesha or Brett/Riley/Insert What Used To Be A Surname Here doesn't fit.

71) Realism: Yes

72) Cartoon: Dunno. to a point.

73) Gen or shipped: Both

Misc.:

74) Blaise's gender: Male, I guess... but a Bowie/Jagger genderbender male if at all. S/He always ends up the Slytherin Bike anyway.

75) Tom Riddle's eye colour: I presume you don't mean Voldemort's red eyes. I don't care.

76) Luna fan: Yes. I think the reason I didn't like her at first (and only at first) was that she hit too close to my insane home.

77) OCs, done or not done: If done well, they can rock. I've tried a few times and I'm not sure how successful it's been. Sometimes it's necessary, but people need to put some effort it. OC doesn't have to equal Mary Sue.

78) Liking Weasley ships with 'Flame' or 'Fire' in the name: I really do not give a rat's arse.

79) Weasley love: Mostly. I can see why people don't like them and really don't like Molly... but to me they're a near-perfect illustration of a barmy, dysfunctional but ultimately loving family. Maybe Americans/Not Brits don't see it, but here "GET YOUR FUCKING ARSE OUT OF FUCKING BED RIGHT FUCKING NOW" actually means "I love you".

80) Malfoy love: Dunno.

81) Potter love: Love them, but I'm hoping Lily isn't quite as sainted as we've seen so far.

82) Is Lucius really 49: Yeah, I think he's older than the others. I mean, why would he bother getting married until he absolutely had to?

83) Brilliant ship name (Don't need to ship it, though!): Dunno. Don't pay much attention to ship names.

84) Plain stupid ship name: Don't give a shit. I 'get' why R/Hr call themselves the Good Ship in nautical terms... but I think that to the rest of us it comes off a bit snotty/arrogant. But I really don't fucking care about ship names.

85) Voldemort. Bald. Yes or no: I'd like to think he's got a fabulous head of practically Stuart-esque Cavalier proportions.

86) The power He-Knows-Not and the power that saved Harry is: Pot Noodles.

87) Your view on Hufflepuff-ies: They're OK.

88) Should Ron say 'Bloody Brilliant' more then once? I don't think the alliteration serves this particular saying well. Bloody Marvellous works better, but what do I fucking know, being only a British child with expert knowledge of swearing across the British Isles?

89) Hermione. Pretty. Am I right?: Yeah. Not hot. Not Helen Of Troy breathtaking, but pretty.

90) Best HP fanfic ever: I like the entire Paraverse, but the most recent 'this could almost be the real thing' was Acceptance of Fate.

91) Rec the 2nd best, too: Dunno? There's a lot of different fics I like for different reasons.

92) Did HP change your life dramatically: Not really. I've had my obsessions before. Compared to them, this is tame. I've made much better, closer friends here than I ever did in the Buffy fandom.

93) Marauders. Like or dislike: Were I at school with them, I'd either have been with them or I'dve hated them. From my perspective however, I love them for all their strengths and weaknesses.

94) Prongs, Moony, Padfoot or Wormtail: Padfoot.

95) Could Lily have been an animagus too: Why would she bother? The boys had a vested interest in doing so.

96) What animal Lily would've been: Until we know exactly how one chooses/is chosen, I don't know.

97) Did Harry pass his Potions' OWL: Dunno. Knowing the jammy git, I imagine he did.

98) Did Ron: Dunno. He might have hidden depths available if he pulled his finger out.

99) Is Harry going to die or will he survive: I imagine that at some point in the future, yes Harry will die. Whether it's before or after Voldemort, I will take what comes.

100) What gives you the most warm fuzzies in your stomach in the whole HP-verse: Knowing how many fucking pages of fucking DDDverse fucking ficlets I've got waiting to be unleashed on my unsuspecting victims/readers.

Bonus question: 101) Did you like this survey: It was marginally better than others I've done. I wasn't asked what shampoo I use three or four hundred times for a start.
