I've been writing something and was just reminded by seeing The Day After Tomorrow. Basically, I'm writing about the way people would react to the End of the World.

So I'd like to ask you all a question:

If the world was going to end, where would you want to be? What would you want to do? Who would you want to be with?

I don't know how to log Anonymous IPs, so feel free to reply anon if you'd like. I know it's an odd question, but if you have an idea or anything you'd like to add to the story, drop me a line.

If you asked me this a year ago, my answer would be totally different, but now...

I wouldn't care where I am or what I'm doing, as long as [livejournal.com profile] phoenixds is with me.

If the world was going to end, I'd want to be in the arms of my husband, with our children in our laps saying a prayer together.

hmm,end of the world? oh i'd probably be in a well stocked mall getting a free try on everything. who i'd be with? i'm a pack-rat so i'd probably be with my housemates (family and then some) and my best friends. and people i might like in some way or another.

hmm or maybe i'll be watching deep impact while eating popcorn. who knows?

ok i've been thinking and thinking and thinking. and i can't decide where i'd be, or who i'd be with. i can't imagine the world ending. the end of all things? it throws up too many questions about what would come after, and what would happen for me to focus on the relatively insignificant issue of what i'd be doing. i thought i might be with my family but would i want to spend the end of the world arguing or listening to arguments? not especially. then i thought i'd be with my friends... but which ones? they don't all get on, i have different groups. i can't choose between them. so i think i'd be on my own. i don't know where. i'd like to not know about it to be honest. who would want to spend the rest of their life knowing that the clock was ticking? i don't.

What a depressing thought

Thinking about this is way too depressing. But I have recently been inspired by the book "Unforgettable Places To See Before You Die" (actually quite a morbid title in my opinion) to make my own little list. Next summer has been narrowed down to a shortlist of Borneo, South Africa or Cuba -budget permitting... How the devil are you anyway? Lotsa Luv Lou xXx
