Yeah, I thought it was a bit off too. I mean, I do sometimes think people overshare in LJ (nobody I know personally, though!) and mistake it for an actual honest-to-god private diary... but email addresses are not the end of the world. Actual addresses? Possibly. I don't think they really understand the community aspect of the blog, which renders the word 'strangers' inappropriate. Like you said, strange, but not strangers!
