apollaJust checking out the PoA premiere pics that Anne linked to at Yahoo...
I'm sure Emma's trying very hard to be pretty and attractive and trendy etc etc... but that dress wouldn't work on anyone. It's horrible and would look horrible on anyone, be it Dahling Nicole or any clotheshorse of choice. The skirt is what truly makes it disgusting, but the bodice is also horrible. Emma, STOP listening to stylists because they RARELY know what they're doing.
Bonnie Wright is dressed MUCH nicer than Emma, although she kinda looks a little... middle aged. That's how MUMS dress. Girls, there's a MIDDLE GROUND here! And has anyone ever seen pictures of the Phelps bros. not looking like they've just stepped out of the 70s. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but that pic of... I want to say James... really looks like he's stepped out of a 1972 menswear catalogue. Rupert's hair is v. long and v. seventies. Should be in That 70s Show.
Twonking around on the imdb... the dude playing James in whatever capacity in PoA was in that shitey Guy Pearce Flynn movie that I've mercifully never had the opportunity to see... LENNY HENRY is the shrunken head thing? HOW did I not notice that?!?! KATANGA MY FRIEND! That means both him and wifeunit Dawn French are in it... The Phelps brothers are 18? They're younger than me? By FOUR YEARS? See, now I feel fucking OLD... Someone called Peter Best is in it as The Executioner but fortunately (I checked) it's not Pete Former-Beatle-Really-Fucking-Bitter-About-It-Hasnt-Ever-Got-Over-it Best... Can't wait to see Julie Christie again after her full fifteen seconds in Troy... Bet Paul Whitehouse as Sir Cadogan will be fucking fabulous. 'Aren't portraits brilliant?'... Now all I can say: ROLL ON 31 MAY!
Also- good of Alan Rickman to make such an effort at the premiere- how scruffy, man! Fabulous!
AND! If you go far enough through the pictures, you'll find Keith Richards and Paul Newman... Me loff them both muchly.

And the Shaggy-Hair!Rupert... Well, I'm going to refrain from my fangirlish comments on that. Suffice it to say I think it rocks.
As for Emma's dress.. I think it's cute, but I'm not your typical fashionista here, and so most things I think are cute, other people don't really like. But we're all entitled to our own opinions. *g*
