According to BBC News Online, it's 100 years since Joan Crawford's birth today.
Not that she'd ever have admitted to being born in 1904 of course.
Joan, though you were hardly a perfect woman, or even a good one, you were beautiful and radiant and a real, true Hollywood star. You pissed off Bette Davis and for these things I salute you.
