When did you first discover Harry Potter?: June 2002.
Book first or movie first?: Movie on DVD. Didn't take long to realise the books were vastly superior.
Were you hooked instantly, or did it take a while?: Instantly. As I walked back from Tasha's, where I'd seen the DVD I went to the UCI library to hunt down the book. It was out so I waited a whole day to buy the PS/SS book. Bought CoS the next day, PoA the day after that.
Did you instantly fall in love with any specific character?: Not sure. The twins probably. And Sirius.

Professor: Professor 'Have a biscuit, Potter' McG.
Marauder: Sirius. They're much more endearing in fanon than canon, but I think they're ok in canon too. Stupid and childish, but OK.
Gryffindor: Harry and Hermione and Ron.
Slytherin: In canon, none. In fanon, there's a couple of Dracos that are OK.
Hufflepuff: Cedric. He does seem like the boy in school that everyone just loves.
Ravenclaw: None.
Character overall: Harry & Hermione and Sirius. I think.
How long did it take you to read...
Book 1?: Forty-five minutes.
Book 2?: Just over an hour.
Book 3?: About an hour and a half.
Book 4?: Two, two and a half hours. Roughly.
Book 5?: Six hours.
What house would you be in?: Gryffindor, cos I'm bullheaded and don't fit in any of the others.
What would your pet be?: An owl.
What would your wand be?: Holly perhaps, with a strand of rock star hair as the core.
Who would you date?: Sirius perhaps. We'd drive each other mad, but I think it'd be fun.
What would be your fave subject?: Lunch.
How did you feel about OotP's character death?: Put it this way- there were only two people I didn't want her to kill. One of them was Hermione and one of them is now deceased. Dead. This Sirius is dead.
What are your views on the Dark Lord?: Needs rhinoplasty.

Am I the only adult in the HP fandom who doesn't read 6,000 words per minute??!?! What is WITH you people?? Why must everyone read everything so fecking FAST?? Hasn't anyone heard of SAVORING what they read?? *knocks self out* Or perhaps I'm the only adult HP fan who is truly stupid, OR who has spent HOURS upon HOURS reading the books OUT LOUD to a 6-year-old, at 5, 10 or 20 pages at a clipl. Wait, that's probably it :)) You may return to your regular programming.
