The Ballad of Buggery Fuck And Other Songs.

OK, guys and girls, never think eating half a bag of pasta and an entire jar of dolmio sauce in one sitting is a good idea. This 'get rid of most of the food by Friday' thing is not great. I finished eating about two hours ago and I'm still stuffed. It wasn't even very nice. I've got ladyfingers to eat as well, but I can't cos I feel sick.

Anyway, the reason for the Ballad of Buggery Fuck:

I've just logged onto the Sunderland Uni library site to cancel some now pointless reservations...

and they're saying I still have a book I took back weeks ago.

What to do? I don't have the receipt from the self-service machine anymore, so I don't suppose I can prove it. They'll have to take it on trust. Do I have a trustworthy face? I'll try doing the big-eyed ingenuous thing. I mean, it has to work one of these days, just by the law of big numbers. It means going into bloody uni, though. Gah of gahness.

All my many things to do today didn't quite pan out, although I did many of them. The temporary parking thing for my mama isn't working- Domestic Services told me last week to talk to security about it, security today told me Domestic Services deal with these things. So that's for tomorrow.

Tomorrow I also have to email a project proposal to the module dude with details of who I want to interview etc etc. Don't really know quite what he's expecting. Also have to get my cheques sorted out. Hopefully these can both be done through the magic of email.

Should also be going to lunch with [livejournal.com profile] rose_rain tomorrow because she's got to come in to give her proposal thing in to uni.

Finally, I downloaded Troy this afternoon. I don't feel bad because I've already paid to see it once. You know, it's a real fucking waste of an opportunity. This film needs to be made again. I mean, 'Robin Hood' has been done lots of times- hopefully someone else will tackle it again. And could someone tell Orlando Bloom that yes, it is brave for a teen heartthrob to play a cowardly womanising wanker, but that he has to do it well for it to work?

Well, that wasn't really final cos I also saw the new King Arthur trailer last night. Aside from Clive 'Charisma of Cardboard' Owen, it's almost exactly the same concept I had for King Arthur ages ago. There's no way to prove it of course, but man! I had this idea after seeing the terrible 50s Knights of the Round Table, whose only redeeming feature was the perfect casting of Miss Ava Gardner as Guinevere. I realised that it's the one legend that's really Britain's/England's and I wanted to do a really good version. It was going to be quite dark atmospherically, have an arse-kicking Guinevere and great bloody action.

See for yourselves. Somehow, and I don't know how, they've managed to steal the idea right out of my brain. If only there were some way to sue for that.
