Meme. Bored. Essay. Not. Done.

x. What is your secret guaranteed weeping movie?
Michael Collins. I love it on many levels and it's not really a 'crying' sort of movie, but at the end, when Michael has been shot (by kid Jonathan Rhys-Fucking-Meyers of all people) and Kitty is shopping for her wedding dress, it gets to me. Cos it really happened. Then when the end bit comes up with the footage of the real Big Fellow's funeral... it really happened and that's what gets me every time.

x. If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?
Nothing. If looking like Ava Gardner was actually possible, I still don't think I'd do it. Beauty isn't about what you look like, it's how you use what you look like.

x. Do you have a completely irrational fear?
Don't really have any fears. Once you're not bothered about death, everything else becomes a lot easier to deal with.

x. What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moment?
I don't think I have anything like that.

x. Do you have too many love interests?
In real life or in Crazy Dream World? I mean, either way it's the same thing: no.

x. Do you know anyone famous?
Nope.

x. Describe your bed:
It's a bed. Single sized in a little alcove in the room with faux-pine headboard stuff going right round three walls. Purple covers and pillows. The end.

x. Spontaneous or plan?
Spontaneous really, although I plan a little bit on important things.

x. Do you know how to play poker?
No. I can't play card games because all of them (except Snap, which I am a MASTER of) seem to require a grasp of numbers that I simply do not have.

x. What do you carry with you at all times?
My walkman.

x. What do you miss most about being little?
I still AM fucking little. No... I miss the feeling of being energised, of being happy without strings attached or stuff lurking. I miss most of all the feeling of being off sick from school (but not too sick) and watching telly while my dad makes me a tin of spaghetti hoops to eat, wrapped up in my duvet in front of the telly.

x. Are you happy with your given name?
Yeah. Named after an obscure Italian saint with the same name as an Irish county. I just wish people would fucking spell it right. CLARE. Say it with me: CLARE. There's no Is. There is an E. Not Claire or Clair or any other variation thereof.

x. How much money would it take to get you to give up the Internet for one year?
You want an exact amount? 100 million pounds. That way I would be able to amuse myself for a year without such things as the internet.

x. Do you like yourself and believe in yourself?
Yeah. Someone has to.

x. Do transient, homeless, or starving people bother you?
Yes, in the sense of 'why haven't we all sorted this out yet?'

x. Do you consider yourself to be a nice person?
Sometimes. Occasionally. Not really.

x. What's one thing you wish you could do but can't?
Ice skate backwards? I don't fucking know.

x. What is your ideal marriage location?
Don't know.

x. Which musical instrument do you wish you could play?
Mandolin. Of course, it would be nice to play guitar well first.

x. Favorite fabric?
Velvet. Leather.

x. Something you love and hate?
I love Led Zeppelin and I hate Phil Collins. I love Errol Flynn and I hate Russell Crowe. Next.

x. What kind of bedding do you use?
Duvet, pillows. Next.

x. Do you tell your friends about your sex life?
No. And you know, what sex life?

x. What's the one language you want to learn?
Italian.

x. What do you order at a bar?
Diet Coke.

x. Have you ever pierced your body parts?
I've got pierced ears, but I didn't do it myself. Dude at the hairdressers did. How come it's hairdressers that do stuff like that? Huh. That's a thought that's going to fester.

x. Do you have tattoos?
Nope. Once I live far, far, far away from my mama and no longer owe her any money, I might think about it.

x. Would you ever admit to having done plastic surgery of any kind if confronted?
Why the hell not? It's not going to happen, though.

x. Do you drive stick?
Like Emony, I shall assume this to be a driving question. I can do it- manual cars are much more the norm in the UK than automatic. However, I do not yet have the proper certification to do so (ie: I've failed my driving test about 4 times)

x. What's one trait you hate in a person?
Being a git.

x. What kind of watch(es) do you wear?
I have a purple Baby-G watch, but do not wear it. It stays in my bag, my wrists remain free (except of my hairband). I tend to use my phone to keep time nowadays.

x. Most frivolous purchase?
Without doubt a faux Return to Tiffany bracelet. it doesn't matter that it was only thirty five quid or that I rilly rilly love that line, it was absolutely pointless, not least cos it's still at home and I'm still in Sunderland.

x. What do you cook the best?
Spaghetti.

x. Favorite writing instrument?
Pens. Doesn't matter what sort- my handwriting always ends up shit.

x. Do you prefer to stand out or blend in?
Standing out. I spent long enough being ignored at school to bother with blending. Of course, I stood out before that...

x. What kind of books do you like to read?
At the moment, biographies of movie stars/rock stars.

x. If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Give a bunch to my mum, dad, brother, Natasha and John, Lynsie, Rachel, Louise and the rest of my friends. Then buy a Gibson Les Paul Jimmy Page ltd edition guitar. And get Jimmy to teach me to play it :D

x. What's one thing you're a sore loser at?
As I said to John's dad playing Yahtzee on Monday... I am a great loser. I'm a terrible winner.

x. If you don't like a person, how do you show it?
Coldness. Sarkiness without the humour. Ranting. Although I have to say, on a day to day basis I don't dislike that many people. Life is too short, man.

x. Do you cry in front of friends?
No. I don't really cry.

x. What's one thing you like to do alone?
Dunno. I do most things on my own.

x. Are you a giver or a taker?
*ignores any possible innuendo* I'd like to say it's pretty even, but I'm at heart a selfish bint.

x. When's the last time you cried?
No idea. A couple of tears during Roman Holiday cos I have serious love/hate issues with the bittersweet ending phenomenon.

x. Favorite communication method?
Face to face contact. Hate phones. Love internet.

x. How many drinks before you're tipsy?
More than it should for someone as near teetotal as me. Dunno. Pint and a half of Guinness.

x. Favorite kind of porn?
I won't even dignify this particular question with an answer.

x. Do you ever have to beg?
For what, exactly?

x. Do you think you're cute?
I am many wonderful and splendiferous things, but I pride myself that cute is not one of them.

x. Do you have problems changing clothes in front of friends?
I don't think I've ever done it.

x. What's the most painful experience you've ever had?
What sort of pain are we talking? Emotionally speaking, I think it would be hard to top seven years of prolonged agony at school. Seeing my grandmother waste away for nearly five years without recognising me at all, before then seeing her put in the ground is high up the list. Waking up to discover George Harrison was dead is also up there.
