<lj-cut text="Cut For Your Sanity.... Some Eb's Birthday Thoughts">
As you know <i>Trouble In Paradise</i> was one of the very first Harry Potter stories I read. I was in my last couple of weeks in California and threw myself into the HP fandom after reading PS after seeing the movie, blah blah... you know the drill. I read in a thirteen hour shift, breaking only because my roomie wanted to go to bed at 3am. I read the rest as soon as I got up the next morning. I rested for a while before reading PL.
But TiP and PL aren't the reason I'm trying to find ways to tell you how fab you are. I could talk about how nice you are, how welcoming you were to a newbie terrified by a huge fandom about a year ago (and who <i>couldn't</i> believe that the wonderful author of TiP/PL would possibly want to make conversation with her!)... I could talk about your fantastic LJ posts that <i>always</i> make me think whether it's about affirmative action or that fab colour LV bag or your family. I could talk about the hours and hours of brilliant chat we've had with the H/Hr crew etc.... But you know all this stuff- you've been told it by everyone else already today, and if you haven't you should've been!
Bottom line: you are a great person Eb, and I wish I had the chance to tell you in person. Great things happen to great people and I predict a great year ahead for you. Love and hugs to you!
