Absolutely THE SHARPE. THAT ONE. It's set a year after Waterloo, despite being made nine years after the last episode. There's even a flashback to 1803, where they've given Sean Bean a wig to hide the fact that he's rather older than that.

From what little I know of the book canon, they've thrown it out of the window for this. There's some familiar faces, although obviously not the ones who died at Waterloo.

And there's Toby Stephens. That's Son-Of-Maggie-Smith Former Bond Villain Toby Stephens.

Dodgy imperial politics aside, it was pretty good.
