Nothing To See Here
Friday, 14 July 2006 00:18I just tried to put Physical Graffiti on my iTunes after months of thinking 'must do...' and discovered the second disc missing. FOR FUCK'S SAKE! Where the hell could it be? The box has been sat here for literally months waiting. The first disc is there just fine, the disc for Houses of The Holy is where it was meant to be... so where the fuck... never mind.
I'm off to Guilfest tomorrow to work at getting setlists from performers. Bit nervous but don't really care. Also applying for a different job within the PRS in an attempt to get closer to the music and trying to find a way of writing about how marvellously suited I am to it without sounding like a twat. Anyway, I'll be away from tomorrow until Monday night and might get to meet a Strangler or Donovan or Billy Fucking Idol.
Watching first season West Wing. They all look so young and fresh, even Leo... I found out some spoilers for the last series today too, which is a bit cool but mostly annoying cos I wanted to wait until I get the DVD box set in like, September or whenever it is.
And OMG OMG I bought a couple of Irish folk song books the other day because I have the first in the set... and one of them has Raglan Road! Could not be more chuffed. Capo at third and I'm away... just waiting for last week's cold to finally leave so I can do it properly. I also miss my guitar lessons, you know. They made me do something, I had to get better, had to improve. My experience has shown me that me alone has never been enough for that.
Well, until next time, I'm off to search for a disc that's probably twenty five fucking miles away. And in a random box. I bet disc two of Led Zeppelin's masterwork is hidden away in Dean Martin: 25 Great Hits or it's hidden in the same place I lost Julie London: Greatest Hits within days of buying the fucking thing.
