Today I got rejected from the Empire magazine paid scholarship. Don't fit the criteria apparently. Not that I've got every copy since Feb 98 or that I love movies and can string a sentence together. Not that it was the only journalistic job that I even remotely thought might be good.
Today I saw the very last episode of Friends and having watched almost ALL of the previous episodes over the last month (only got s. 2 to go) it was much more upsetting than when it went out on TV.
Today I received Alexander The Great by Robin Lane Fox from the Folio Society (posh book people). Looks v. good although a little lacking in the illustration stakes. Want to get stuck in but my head is hurting.
Today I got my guitar out for the first time in ages. Can't play.
Today I had weird dream I could've well done without.
Today I need Advil again for this fucking headache.
Today I was disgusted by some of the stuff going on in fandom lately and wish to ask you all, most sincerely, to grow up and understand that not everyone finds the same things funny as you, not everyone agrees with you, that's their right, and this is my shelter AWAY from the insanities of life. Fuck it, carry on like always and when you've finished ripping each other to cyber-shreds I might get some peace.
Today I watched The Kids Are Alright again. My love for Roger Daltrey knows no bounds while my love for Keith Moon is sad and annoyed. I can't even find myself angry with Pete Townshend about certain computer incidents... partly because I do believe his reasons. My admiration for John Entwistle only got higher watching him machine-gun a bunch of gold records. I love these guys.
Today I ate ice cream. It did not help my head.
Today I was as sad as always.
Today I came up with this stupid gimmick for this stupid post.
