Hari and Franz Ferdinand
Monday, 17 May 2004 02:23Watching 'Brainwashed Behind the Scenes' over on artistdirect.com, I am amused to realise that Dhani Harrison sounds a lot like my pal Richard. I find this amusing. I find seeing George sat there in his garden talking about an album he never finished rather less amusing.
That said, looking at the garden at Friar Park, I am hugely amused by the greatness of George as a gardener. I'm not saying he did all of it on his own, but he did love it, and one day I would very much like to see those gardens in person. Or in shrub, whatever.
Also, watching the video for Franz Ferdinand's 'The Dark of the Matinee' (yes, again) I am struck by how much one of them looks like John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.
It's been a weird sort of half-day.
