A couple of things before I depart for the wooden hills of Bedfordshire.

1. Every single royal history program on telly has me flying to the internet for more. This is the same for slightly shite costume dramas like Charles II: The Power and the Passion and Gunpower Treason & Plot, the first part of which was on tonight and was about Mary, Queen of Scots, to that reality show documentary about the Tower of London (called, interestingly The Tower). I am becoming fascinated. I am becoming a history geek. Man alive.

2. I will most likely go to Ottakar's tomorrow to buy at least one book about said subject. I am insane and must be restrained.

3. I am so fucking tired but don't want to go to bed until Richard Burton has to kill Richard Harris on telly.

OK.

I just bought the movie Elizabeth on DVD, you know, the one with Cate Blanchett... I saw it at Crimbo and liked it...

but they've spelled fervent as fervant in the opening captions.

There's no excuse. None.

Right. Today I went and rented In America and Underworld. THen I went into town and bought Elizabeth and In The Name of the Father on DVD and the books Stairway to Heaven: Led Zeppelin Uncensored by Richard 'their smackhead road manager' Cole The Lives of the Kings and Queens Of England by Antonia Fraser. Then a bunch of food.

Only the food was actually necessary and even then, I could've just as easily stayed at home and had some of the pasta stockpile I have. I am, as always, my own worst enemy. I am however, uber-inspired for my original story about a made up region of the world and the increasingly intricate royal houses there.

I am also very very tired.
