Pre-Graduation and Back at Work.
Saturday, 12 July 2003 22:00Hi there!
Haven't posted for a while but I have been reading your posts, rest assured.
I've been back working at Directory Enquiries since Monday and it is of course, driving me crazy. Next time you guys ring up Directory Enquiries or Information or whatever you guys call it, spare a thought for the poor call centre assistant. And I beg you to be nice, polite and say thank you! I am also meant to be looking for a real job but haven't found anything that sets me alight. Once I've rewritten my CV I think I'll just join a couple of grad agencies and see what happens. I'm not going to get into movies rright now, am I? Let us be honest: I have no fucking experience and no chance. I might at least try to write some stuff first. This, as you can imagine, is breaking my heart so I'm trying to not think about it.
Me and the rentals are going up to Lancaster on Monday. Furness College's graduation is on Monday so I'll see Natasha, Rachel and John graduate then, and I'm the next day with the rest of Fylde College, hurrah. Hopefully I'm not working at all this coming week (there were no hours for me when I checked yesterday) so I can go see my grandad in London.
Just got done watching Bram Stoker's Dracula with Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder and everyone. Keanu "Bee-yooo-dapest" Reeves is as dumb as always but the rest of the cast are OK. Still not sure what I think of the whole thing, not to mention what I think is the intervention of God at the end. I will say this... suddenly understand why people are into Gaz Oldman as Sirius. Check out the first time you see him younger-looking in London and you should dig what I mean. I still don't think fabulous, but what do I know? I must say I liked the Angsty!Drac moments cos they appeal to my inner Angel-fan. And he's definitely better than that dick they had on Buffy the other season. Enough of this, anyway.
So I'll be away from the computer I expect for Mon-Wed while I sod off to get a bit of paper from Lancaster. So until then....... love to you all!
