JKR's Paxman Interview.
Thursday, 19 June 2003 23:56Just saw the new JKR interview with Jeremy Paxman. She was charming and amusing, he wasn't half as mean or demanding as he usually is with mere politicians.
A few things:
Her school of writing is the 'Flogged Horse School of writing'. Nice to know I have something in common with Her Potterness! She's got the final chapter of Book Seven finished, which is also like me (not book seven, I mean the last chapter and all).
When told by Paxo that OotP is longer than the New Testament, she said she was sure that Christian fundamentalists would find a way to turn that against her, or as she said, she must be evil because "She's more verbose than God!"
Is a funny chick. Gave no spoilers, mentioned her internet fans and said that a few had come close to the ultimate point of the books. Wonder who......... For you D/Hr fans, she refused to negate the posssibility, but I don't like your chances, kids!
Must go now- little brother being a git and not letting me have very much time on the computer. I'm sure I won't speak to y'all till post Ootp- I'll be at Maher's at midnight to get it and I'll read it straightaway. Man, cannot wait. Am now impatient.
Must now leave- Little Mikey is huffing and puffing at me. So I'll speak to you all on the other side.
Stay lucky all!
