I Hate London Transport.
Monday, 7 April 2003 01:29For the record, I hate London Transport. Thanks to them I didn't get to visit my best friend in Slough. I don't mind so much the missing Slough part, but I wanted to see my best pal. Would you believe that it would've taken me over an hour just to get from Kings Cross to Paddington because it was a Sunday so practically EVERY tube line was closed in that rough area. I appreciate that they need to do repairs and stuff, but do they need to close every bloody thing?
It did mean though, that I got to lie in which was important because I've been up all night for the last three days watching my new West Wing DVDs. Almost at the end now- just in time to get the next installment tomorrow.
Still haven't started my dissertation though. Should probably be worried. Listening to Georgie Harrison instead and looking to see if there are any Paul McCartney tickets left in the British Isles. My irritation with Paul seems to have dissolved more or less and so I'm now looking. Me love my Beatles and let's face it: he ain't getting any younger. He was in Sheffield last night and apparently rocked the world. So good on him.
Anyway... the trials and tribulations related to my teeth that long-time readers of this diary will remember... am finally off to get myself a real dentist and get my temporary filling replaced with a proper one on Tuesday. I could've had an appointment last Friday but I wasn't getting up at 10 for anyone. I think I make the three-toed sloth look full of beans sometimes.
And now I'm babbling. Hope YOU are all of the good.
