Did anybody else know that Nero is the great-grandson of Marc Antony and Claudius is his grandson? And they're also related to the Caesars by dint of their mother being Octavia (remember in Cleopatra, the bird Richard Burton had to marry before Elizabeth Taylor?)

This isn't important of course, but I've been web surfing. I end up in some bonkers places. Just the other day I spent almost an hour mucking about on a The Sims page. And now I'm back here to either amuse you or bore you. If I manage both in the same sentence I can go to sleep happy.

Got my music essay done. Was a little short and a lot shite, but I found myself not caring much by 2am.

Walked to Safeways today because my brain was mushed too much to do anything. And I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat in the house. I think the part of town where I live has been cleaned up a bit. It was always fairly pretty in that South-East England suburban way... maybe I've just been Up North too long. I don't know. SFO school still looks like the dump it always has been and the pavements are still pretty bad in places but... not a bad place to live I suppose.

Thanks to my essay have been going through one of my Beatles Renaissances. I go through them now. I so overlistened to them a few years ago that I don't listen with the same regularity as I used to. Was grinning so much when listening to With The Beatles, just because. Still remember all the words from all the songs and they're still my Boys. Still love em. Listened to George's Brainwashed album on my uber-exciting Safeways jaunt. It's so fantastic, man. The last song is so wonderfully grumpy that it raises a smile and the first song Any Road is so Wilburys... Lots of ukelele too. Hmm... I mean, I nearly started sobbing while queueing at the till, but still v. cool.

Then tonight in some cosmic coincidence, Yoko was on 'Friday Night With Jonathan Ross'. I love that Heather Mills now makes Yoko look like a wonderful lady, although I never really hated Yoko. She was bonkers (what's new) but sincere. Liked it. Also noticed that when they played a bit of the Imagine video, when John looks up it seems like he's staring right into one's soul. Is it just me and I'm crazy or has anyone else experienced the Awesome Might of the Lennon Stare.

Favourite moment was when Yoko said that she reckoned John was still about. Well yes, you're right Yoko. Without meaning to get too over the top, that international anti-war march had more than a bit of the Lennon about it. Maybe I'm just one crazy Beatle fan overestimating the world once again. Maybe. I'd still like to know what the world would've been like had he not been murdered in the street by someone claiming to be a fan.

I'm leaving right now before this becomes any sort of rant. Quiet reflection, Clare, not ranting... Quiet reflection.... Good night, hope you're all v. cool.
