I should currently be trying to devise five chapter titles/questions for my Very Important Dissertation. I should and yet instead, I'm really not. It's not like 'Jim Morrison' is even a difficult subject.

Stuff That's Happened Today (Not Necessarily to Me): Paul Burrell gets to put his own story forward in The Daily Mirror (my newspaper of choice). And STILL the Queen comes out squeaky clean! I swear, the woman dresses in Teflon!

What else? Mick McCarthy quit as the manager of the Irish football team. Oh well. Just so long as whoever replaces him remembers that Roy Keane is an arrogant git not worthy of the honour of playing for his national team.

Oh this is boring!

I am SO narked at the moment- I can't get a direct train from university in Lancaster to my home down south. I want to go home for my grandad's birthday but it seems to be easier said than done... Damn you Virgin Trains!

I've been put on a warning about the Chamber of Secrets preview I'm off to on Friday (TWO DAYS TO GO!!). I'm not allowed to shout, scream, jump, bounce or otherwise act in ways instictive to myself until there's nobody else about. So in short, I have been told to act like a normal human being. Bugger.

I haven't really done anything interesting at all today. There really are only so many times I can watch Blackadder Goes Forth without feeling the need to dig a trench of my own. And I've started about fifteen Harry/Hermione ficlets and can't finish any of them. Although I have more or less finished HP DDD. I'm just polishing and tweaking. I intend though, not to take as long as JKR when it comes to tweaking. Surely there's only so much tweaking one can do?

Anyway, one last thing: Errol Flynn rocks. I say this because for one of my classes I have to write an essay (What Makes Hollywood 'Hollywood') and I find it highly amusing that I can write about Fleen and get marks for it. This university life is fantastic!

Blimey, I'm knackered!

I had a Film lecture today which was pretty dull. Man, that Edward G. Robinson was a funny looking bloke. Very cool, but funny looking.

Then, I had to go to a US Foreign Policy seminar. This would be the class I can't go to lectures for because it clashes with another class of mine. So... I had to blag knowing anything about the Truman administration's China policy circa 1947. Yay.

Then, when I really did just want to go back to sleep, I had to finally come up with chapter titles within an hour. Instead, I watched TV, chatted to Dan (gryffinseye) on MSN and danced about like a loon to Elvis.

Elvis. Weird. I loved the bloke when I was a little kid, mostly thanks to my Dad's own personal worship of the 'King'. Then I got annoyed with the rhinestone suited Elvis and moved onto the Beatles. From there onto Dylan, Hendrix, the Stones, etc. But I bought my dad the new CD of No. 1s (Sensing that the Beatles '1' was a trendsetter) and I've been listening to it. I'd forgotten how good the bloke was. No John Lennon, but still not bad. Although I would rather listen to Dean Martin!

Anyway, that's not important. I can't even go to sleep now because I have to go to the library at five to start working on a Politics essay. Then, I have to meet a group for my American Music class and it's DRIVING ME BONKERS! I thought the whole point of university was to dodge work!

So, I'm rather sleep deprived, although that's not really anything new. I think I'll manage on Diet Coke, crisps and the knowledge that I'm going to see Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets TOMORROW!!

In thirty or so hours, I will be comfortably nestled in a nice velvet chair in Morecambe's Apollo Four flicks, ready and waiting for certain hugs! Hurrah!!

As for the ongoing Princess Diana-Butler-Spencer Family feud/scandal, The Daily Mirror today revealed exactly why Diana didn't speak to her mother for the six months before she died. Needless to say, if my mother ever treated me with such a lack of love and respect, I wouldn't speak to her either. It makes me feel really terribly glad that my family isn't posh.

Well, I'm watching Porridge on DVD at the moment- Mr McKay just cracks me up, but ol' Norman Stanley Fletcher and Godber are one of the funniest double acts ever!

I'd better go soon. Work calls apparently. And thanks to Pilar and Zorb, who reminded me that normal is highly overrated. Famous Apolla prayer, that is!

Stay lucky all!
