I'd be either a total hippie or a punk, depending on the time period. Peace and Love and Jimi, Janis, Bob, Jim and the whole Woodstock clique on one hand, the Sex Pistol, early Siouxsie and the Banshees, New York Dolls, The Clash, The Ramones, the Heartbreakers, Patti Smith, the Damned, the Buzzcocks, trhe Slits etc on the other.
In the time between 1969 and 1975 I'd probably spent on LSD listening to psychedelic rock, Pink Floyd and stuff. Maybe if I got up my ass I'd see Led Zeppelin live, but that would be depend on stuff... like the consideration if LSD and thirty minute versions of certain songs really go together or if I just go to a movie theatre and catch a showing of 2001. I think I would totally hate David Bowie and Glam Rock. Or maybe just the worst parts of Glam Rock - T-Rex and Ziggy Stardust. Oh, and those glittery plateau heel boots.
Is it sad that I see early 70s rock as one gigantic LSD opera on some level?
