From many people:

There's a huge chunk of you out there whose LJs I read every day - but in a lot of cases, I don't know how old a lot of you are, or where you live, or basic, normal things.

This is the problem with LJ - we all think we are so close, and while we know about the day-to-day, there's still a lot we don't know about each other. So let's rectify it.

I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. I promise, I will not make fun of you, or say who asked what; I won't divulge any social security numbers and stuff, but I'll try to answer everything - personal, fandom - whatever.

I then invite you to do the same. Remember, seriously basic stupid questions, don't be embarrassed, you would be really shocked what I don't know about you.

What is your favorite place in the world to be?

I'm not sure I have one. When I was a kid, I used to love to play in the little woods near my house. I walked past at Easter and it's all overgrown with nettles now.

One day though, I'd like to have a house right on the coast of Co. Galway in Ireland. I've never actually been there, but I just have this feeling about it.

Ultimately though... my favourite place is in my room with my movies and music. I'm a girl of simple requirements.

What do I need to do to achieve rock and roll enlightenment?

How many albums do you own on vinyl?

And this is a really embarrassing one, as I should know it, but from which song is the John Lennon quote on the sidebar of your LiveJournal?

1. Find the music that reaches into your chest, grabs hold of your heart and won't let go. It might be a particular singer or guitarist or a particular song. It might be a style or genre. It might not even be rock and roll at all. When you find it, you'll know that you couldn't ever live without it again.

2. On my own, probably around 25/30 including the Beatles picture disc 45s my mum bought as a girl and actually kept. Including my dad's records, closer to 100/150 I think. It's been a long time since either of us have counted. He replaced a lot with CD years ago because the vinyl was so badly damaged, mostly due to letting six year olds play them ;)

3. It's 'Watching the Wheels' which was on Double Fantasy, the album released the month before he was butchered in the street outside his home. There's a Dakota demo of it that is insane in its simple beauty.

This should be embarrassing...how old *are* you anyway?

Easy question: 22 going on 12.
:D

Cool! You too?! We can be 12 together. Braid each other's hair and play with dolls.

The Harry and Hermione ones.

Hmm...I'm thinkin' 12 year olds wouldn't know to put them in *those* positions. :D

The 12 year olds I knew did.

Dunno about the hair braiding though. Can I sit and complain, being a tomboy, while I let you do it anyway?

Actually, I'd rather sit with you and make fun of the other girls at the sleepover being all girly about their hair.

We can sip illicit drinks and trash them. :D :D
